Lower Sac Report

Lower Sac Report

We’ve had some banner days on the Sac in the past couple of weeks. Typical Lower Sac for the springtime (minus the big hatches). A few of the days have made us work hard in the mornings – usually after lunchtime the fish start to chow with more conviction and seem to hold on a bit longer. Quick grabs mean you’ve gotta have a quick hammer. Timely hook sets have been rewarded. Due to the lack of bugs still, the dry fly thing hasn’t really kicked off yet. Until then we’ll keep watching that indicator go down – often. I’ve still got some days open at the end of the month and days open in April. Inquire for details.

There’s a new species of fish around right now.. Not a bad change of pace to throw some big streamers in the afternoon to some fish with big mouths.

Bass and trout on the same day? That sounds like fun. Throw in a few suckers just to make it more interesting. Thanks for the report Anthony.
