Northern State Update

Northern State Update

We just got done with a great week of fishing on the Lower Sac. This powerhouse of a trout river continues to serve up great fishing, day in and day out. The weather has been in the 70s, making days on the water as comfortable as they come. If you have the time to sneak away for a day or two, a float on the Lower Sac is highly recommended. There are a lot of good options in the North State right now. The Upper Sac, McCloud and Pit are all in good shape and fishing well. With the lack of snowpack in the mountains, these smaller streams are going to fish best early in the season. Take advantage of them soon.

We just had a big group of guys up from Southern California make their first fishing trip up to the North State. We set them up to stay at a magnificent house up on Lake Shasta. The “Dreamview” and “Lodgeview” cabins are some of the nicest in the area, with incredible views of Lake Shasta. I highly recommend checking out Shasta Lake Properties if you are planning on staying in the area for a few days. We have put together some great fishing packages with these lodges for this year. Inquire for details.
