Trout Camp – 2016

Trout Camp – 2016

I will be hosting “Trophy Trout camp” this coming summer up on the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska. August is prime time for targeting some of the biggest trout in the world on the mighty Kenai River. We will be fishing with Lee Kuepper of Double Haul Fly Fishing (Kenai River Fly Fishing Guide) and his staff of top shelf guides. We will also be spending a day walking and wading some of the smaller tributaries for rainbow trout, char and arctic grayling.

This is your opportunity to experience some of the best fly fishing that the world has to offer in one of most breathtaking landscapes at a very affordable rate. The majority of lodges in Alaska offer these fishing packages at upwards of $10,000 per person. This package is designed for the serious angler who is looking for that next level fly fishing experience without all the bells and whistles of an Orvis style Lodge.

Currently, there are 6 spots open for each time frame below:

$3,200 per Angler

Lodging

Our Lodging accommodations will be centrally located at the Salmon Catcher Lodge, putting us in short striking distance from the waters we will be fishing. The Salmon Catcher Lodge has been highlighted on the Sportman’s channel and other outdoor publications as on of the best “bang for you buck” operations on the Peninsula. All 6 guests will be staying in a 2,000square foot log cabin style lodge and will include; Full living rooms, fully equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms, Jacuzzi tub, washer and dryer, outdoor picnic tables and fire pit. There will also be the option for separate cabins that will accommodate two people to each cabin.

I have had the pleasure of fishing the Kenai river a number of times now with Lee Kuepper and his guides. There is no doubt that these boys know the river better than anybody around and will outwork any other guide on the river to ensure you are successful in finding that trophy fish. From swinging streamers, to dead drifting flesh and Eggs, the Kenai has a lot of variety to offer. As trophy rainbow trout will be our main focus, there will be many other species of fish available to us as well. Come experience this trophy trout chase with me this Summer and make some memories that will last a lifetime.

“As guides we consider the Kenai River the epicenter of Trophy Rainbow Trout country. This is our specialty as a guide service. We love chasing the thirty plus inch Rainbow Trout that prowl our home waters with the fly rod. Dry fly fishing, swinging streamers, and drifting large fly patterns are all methods that we employ when fishing for these trophy Kenai River Rainbow Trout.”
